Artists Reveal Process, Purpose and Passion in TED Talks

Technology, Entertainment, and Design combine in Artists’ Presentations

Technology Entertainment, Design talks include energetic presentations about “ideas worth spreading.” As I recently discovered, you can view videos of these talks online and access related information about the speakers. The ones I’ve viewed so far are each less than twenty minutes; they skillfully use the powers of technology, entertainment and design to add impact to their focus points.

Each talk I list below relates to an artist central to one of my Art Outdoors posts, so I have given titles and links for those posts. Now that I am aware of the TED resources, I will include relevant links to TED in future posts. Also I will start a page of TED Talk links related to Art Outdoors and plan for ongoing updates. I invite you all to suggest TED talks that seem relevant in some way to Art Outdoors.

Along with winning photos from the Greenway/Studio Echelman photo contest, this TED Talk played on a film loop shown during the after-dark closing celebration of Echelman’s aerial sculpture over the Greenway on October 20 2015.
